Stanislav Obruca, Prof, Ph.D., Faculty of Chemistry BUT, Department of Food Chemistry and Biotechnology; senior scientist – Materials Research Centre BUT. His scientific work is focused mainly on the study of PHA production employing selected bacterial strains and involvement of PHA into stress response of bacteria. He was allowed to spend 5 months lasting stay at The Department of Biotechnology, Lund University, Sweden. He is an expert in microbiology, biochemistry and biotechnology, especially in the field of PHAs metabolism and biotechnology.
