Prof. Dr. Žnidaršič Plazl is Professor of Biotechnology at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, where she also graduated in Chemical Engineering, finished her MSc in Biochemistry and completed her PhD in 2000. She gained experiences in various academic and industrial institutions in Europe and USA and was awarded a Fulbright Grant to perform her research work at Oregon State University in 2014. Her recent research interest is in the design, integration and intensification of biocatalytic and separation processes in microfluidic systems. She is also an initiator and a Co-Chair of a conference series “Implementation of Microreactor Technology in Biotechnology - IMTB”.
